Community ski hill for north end of Vancouver Island. The majority of the lower runs are groomed while the majority of the runs on the upper T-bar are left ungroomed for sheer powder pleasure.
Mt. Cain is 16km on a gravel road from Inland Island Highway #19, with turnoff 8 km south of the Woss turnoff (Chains are mandatory for going both up and down or take the 8:30 Shuttle bus from highway parking lot, by donation)

Just 22 km from downtown, has the deepest annual snowfall (32ft) of all local mountains. 200 acres of ski terrain includes 21 trails, 11 for night skiing, snowboarding terrain parks, snow tubing & tobogganing runs, and snowshoeing trails.
Cross the Second Narrows Bridge, take the 3rd exit (#22) on to Mount Seymour Parkway
to the Provincial Park. Turn left onto Mount Seymour Road (at the Mohawk Gas Station)
and head 11 km up the mountain road.
